Four-Eyed Friends | Pinchpot Face Planters
In this playful, hands-on workshop, students will create a one-of-a-kind face planter using pinch pot techniques, complete with expressive features and sculpted glasses. We’ll start from a simple ball of clay and build outward—shaping facial features, adding personality, and designing glasses that frame your planter’s “face” while leaving room for plants or flowers to grow like wild, leafy hair.
This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone who loves whimsical ceramics, character-driven work, or functional pieces with charm. Along the way, you’ll learn pinch pot construction, basic sculpting techniques, and tips for creating a planter that’s both sturdy and functional (including drainage considerations). No prior clay experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and a sense of humor.
Finished pieces will be fired after class and ready for pickup at a later date. Once complete, your planter will be ready to house your favorite plant and add a little personality to any shelf or windowsill.
This class is perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike. Instruction will cover basic hand-building techniques, shaping petals, assembling flowers, and adding surface details. Students can create individual flowers or combine multiple elements into a small arrangement, wall piece, or sculptural form.

All work will be fired by the studio and will be durable for outdoor use after bisque and glaze firing. The cost of this class covers one participant. This activity is not advised for children under the age of 5 or who have not completed kindergarten. A separate registration is required for each participant. Who’s Invited: Adults 21+
In this unique workshop, Tulsa ceramic artist Kirsten Morehead will guide participants through the process of creating her signature stained-glass style ceramics. Using dimensional raised glazes and vibrant underglazes, you’ll learn how to transform bisqueware (pre-fired, unglazed pottery) into bold, colorful pieces that resemble stained glass.
This class focuses entirely on glazing techniques, making it perfect for beginners as well as experienced ceramic artists who want to explore surface design. Participants will outline their designs using raised dimensional glaze to create the “lead lines,” then fill each section with rich underglaze colors before the piece is finished with a clear glaze that gives it a glossy stained-glass effect.
No prior ceramic experience is required to participate in this workshop.
Each participant will receive one bisqueware piece included with the cost of the class. You’ll be able to choose between a mug, vase, or bowl to decorate during the workshop. All glazes, materials, and tools needed for the class will be provided.
Once your piece is finished, it will remain at the studio to be kiln-fired. After firing, the glaze becomes fully vitrified, leaving you with a finished ceramic piece that is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe.
Participants will be contacted within two weeks when their finished pottery is ready for pickup.
Participants with prior ceramic experience are welcome to bring their own bisqueware pieces if they prefer. However, all outside pieces and glazes must be reviewed by the instructor before firing to ensure they are compatible with a cone 06 low-fire glaze firing and safe for the kiln.

Let your creativity flow in this playful hand building workshop where movement and personality take center stage. In Waves & Whimsy, you’ll learn how to transform a simple slab of clay into a beautifully flowing, wavy bowl with soft curves and organic edges.
During this guided class, we’ll walk through the process step by step—rolling out clay slabs, shaping gentle waves, and refining the form so your bowl has that whimsical, undulating look. Each piece turns out completely unique, and the wavy edges make these bowls especially charming for serving snacks, holding trinkets, displaying fruit, or simply living their best life as a decorative centerpiece.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone curious about working with clay. No prior pottery experience is required! Our instructor will guide you through the techniques and help you bring your vision to life while encouraging creativity and experimentation along the way.
After the workshop, your bowl will slow dry and go through its first kiln firing. Within two weeks, you’ll receive a notification inviting you back to the studio to glaze your piece. Once glazed, we’ll fire it again, transforming your creation into a finished, food-safe ceramic bowl ready to take home and enjoy.

Ready to try a glaze technique that’s equal parts playful and magical?
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the art of bubble glazing — a surface design method that uses glaze-filled bubbles to create layered, organic patterns on pottery. The results can be soft and subtle or bold and dramatic, and no two pieces ever turn out the same.
This workshop is open to all experience levels. No prior ceramics experience is necessary.
Each participant will choose one bisque-fired piece provided by the studio:
A mug
A vase
Or a bowl
You’ll learn:
• How to mix and prepare a bubble glaze solution
• Application techniques for different visual effects
• Layering strategies to build depth and contrast
• Tips for achieving successful firing results
